Frequently Asked Questions
I.V. Therapy is a method of administering vitamins, minerals, anti-oxidants, and amino acids directly into the bloodstream through intravenous infusion. It provides valuable nutrients to the body, by bypassing the digestive system, and has been clinically proven to be more effective than oral supplements.
All vitamins and nutrients used at ThrIVe Drip Spa are FDA approved and go through high levels of testing. Every IV therapy treatment is administered by registered nurses and performed under a medical director. Before a client receives IV therapy, vitals signs are recorded and health history is evaluated. After the treatment ends, clients can resume most activities and daily responsibilities immediately with the exception of heavy lifting.
With the rise of high-profile celebrities and athletes receiving these treatments, more people are discovering the treatments we offer; however, IV Therapy is much more than a passing celebrity fad. The medical community has been using it for decades to safely and effectively treat and manage a number of health conditions + help clients improve overall health.
Every client is different, but our goal is to get every IV with one “stick”. To ease the discomfort, our registered nurses use a numbing medication, lidocaine, for each treatment (if the client has no allergy).
The benefits of IV therapy are felt with a single treatment. On average our clients visit 1-2 per week, depending on the goals.
Come as you are! Before entering the cryo chamber, clients are provided with protective socks, boots, and gloves. Private dressing rooms are available for use and to store belongings.
While every ThrIVe Drip Spa session is beneficial, research has shown that clients will experience improved and cumulative benefits with a minimum of 10 sessions, within a two or three week period.
The cold air does not contain any moisture, which is why it doesn’t feel shockingly cold. Towards the end of the session, clients may experience a slight tingling sensation, which disappears almost immediately afterwards. Most clients feel increased energy and muscle relief after a single session.
The cryo chamber is open at the top so your head and neck remain above the chamber, and you can communicate to the trained staff member controlling the machine throughout the session. It is also important to note that the cryo chamber does not lock and is equipped with numerous safety features.
ThrIVe Drip Spa offers advanced cryo chambers. The liquid nitrogen used as a chilling agent does not come into contact with your skin, and is the same nitrogen that makes up the air we breathe (actually 78% of it). A trained staff member is present at all times to monitor temperature and client comfort.
